It’s imperative that we pay attention to the river of life, our blood, flowing through our bodies and our sacred little heart that pumps to keep us alive. Our Circulatory System helps ward off disease and maintain homeostasis (a balanced state in the body). Our blood prefers a healthy PH level while passing nutrients to and from our food and the cells in our body. To maintain a healthful state, we need to avoid excessive stress, high blood pressure, heart disease and high cholesterol.

Our bodies are filled with little tubes (arteries, veins, cardiovascular pipes). The goal is to keep the tubes open and clean for optimal health. When one has a diet heavy with meats, sugars, soda or fried foods, it creates havoc on the Circulatory System and one’s health. When one has high blood pressure, it’s a sign that their tubes are straining, having to squeeze really hard to push blood through. This wears the tubes out.

If your arteries or veins are blocked, it’s time to change your lifestyle. The chemistry of the food you eat becomes the chemistry of your body! Some great heart helpers would be the intake of organic whole grains, almonds, fish oil, olive oil, green leafy veggies and maybe some selenium, zinc and Vitamin E. Oatmeal for breakfast is a great choice (whole oats, not instant)!

It is important to keep all organs and systems flowing nicely together to create harmony in one’s being. Dedicate 30-45 minutes a day to exercising your heart and getting your blood pumping to clean those tubes throughout your body. Only we ourselves have the power to change our health. Take back your power and your soul.
