Irene’s – Where do you work?
Macie – My home business which is a Wellness Studio located in Allen Park called Re-New-U.
Irene’s – What are your specialties?
Macie – Massage, Energy work, Reflexology, PH Balancing, and nutritional counseling. I also offer Infrared Sauna Therapy.
Irene’s – What are your favorite modalities, or what techniques do you find most effective?
Macie – I incorporate Reiki into my massages, stretching, and I use DoTerra essential oils.
Irene’s – Where is the first place you worked?
Macie – I started working at Silvia’s on Monroe in Dearborn. I still do contract work with her, it’s going on 10 years now.
Irene’s – To what do you attribute your success?
Macie – I had great Instructors at Irene’s and especially in the student clinic. Barb Brigee, the clinic manager was a huge part of my growth and gave me confidence.
Irene’s – What is your favorite aspect of your career?
Macie – To see a difference in my clients when they get relief from their pain and when they are relaxed.
Irene’s – What do you do for self-care?
Macie – I exercise, eat healthy, meditate, and use essential oils. I need to get massage more often.
Irene’s – What marketing do you feel has worked best?
Macie – Client referrals – Word of mouth.

Macie – Practice what you preach and never devalue yourself or what your service is worth.
