Massage Therapy Career Paths
You will graduate from Irene’s equipped with a Massage Therapy License from the State of Michigan, along with a wealth of skills and experience. Massage: A Growing Profession
The positive effects of human touch are immeasurable. Scientific research is showing evidence of the therapeutic effects of massage therapy. Medical studies reveal the benefits of massage, as it is increasingly becoming an important part of the health care system.
Massage has been utilized by businesses and organizations such as the U.S. Department of Justice, Boeing, and Reebok. Notable athletes such as Michael Jordan and LeBron James have personal massage therapists that at times even traveled with them. One of Irene’s graduates is the official massage therapist for the Detroit Tigers.
The 1984 Olympics in LA televised massage being performed on athletes and the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta offered massage as a core medical service to the US Team.
